Lafayette Fleming
Lafayette "Uncle Lay" Fleming was the eighth child of Greene and Lucinda McDaniel Fleming. Uncle Lay moved from Abel along with other members of his family, to the Spring Valley Community, Morrilton, Arkansas. he married Dessie Fowler. They had two sons, Emerson and Talmadge (both deceased.) Lay also had one daughter, I.V. Willis (deceased). She was married to Leo Willis.
Emerson married Jeretha. They had no children. Talmadge married Ruby Henson. They had two children: Talmadge Jr. and Jewel. Talmadge Jr. and his wife Audrey had one child, Adena Monique. Jewel Fleming Mitchell was married to Henry Lee Mitchell, then later to John Johnson. Her children are Sheree and Danielle and she has one grandchild.
