Uncle Audrey & Aunt Bessie House |

|
| |
| After
we left Uncle Audreys' it was time to have a little fun, so we hit the
go-cart track. We went to Nascart and had an exciting time.
The cars went pretty fast and it was a real race-like environment.
There were Yellow caution flags, Black flags for hazardous driving,
and the Checkered flag for when your time was up. There was also an
electronic scoreboard so you could see how fast you were going around
the track. It was so fun, one of my sisters took her wig off in
front of everybody just so she could get her helmet on:) Watch
out Nascar! |

that evening we went to Chuck E.Cheese. I couldn't tell who
was having more fun, the kids or the adults. |

| Last
but not least, we went over Aunt Linda & Uncle Alfonso's house.
A lot of the youth of the family were there, and it was amazing to see
how they've grown up over the past few years. Everyone caught up
with each other since some hadn't seen each other in years. We
also covered the activities for Saturday.
Mostly the guys watched the Lakers-Kings game. |

Saturday, May 25
This was the Big
day. Uncle Lloyd's ceremony entitled "This is Your Life
Celebration" began at 4p.m. It was truly a surprise to him.
Everyone did an excellent job of keeping a secret (you know how hard
that can be for us). It was a blessing to have all of Uncle
Lloyd's living brothers and sisters in attendance and for them to tell
stories about their childhood. Many others rose and spoke of how
Uncle Lloyd touched their lives, these included: his children,
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, ministers and
friends. We now know why Uncle Lloyd wasn't into hunting (he's
afraid of snakes), how he is able to keep up with everyone by letting
his fingers do the walking (using the phone), and how he was always there for family and friends in
times of need. We found out his favorite song is "99½
won't do." Pastors told of his
leadership in the Kansas City Pastors Union. Leonard Burgess
told of always getting to ride in the new car when Uncle Lloyd would
come back to Arkansas. Delaney Sr. of how he was always a role
model for him. With the aid of Uncle Lloyd's children, Lionel
Keith was able to produce a wonderful video of Uncle Lloyd's life.
Anyone that missed this truly missed a blessing, but hopefully through
pictures and words the message will be felt.
